The achievements of Pickle and her owner Suzanne Hale were recognised at the BCC AGM when President Brenda White presented Suzanne with a special award.
Suzanne is a qualified Kennel Club Agility Judge and has been involved in the sport with her dogs for over 12 years. Pickle is the first of her dogs to achieve this award.
Agility is one of the most popular dog sports in the UK. The Warrant awards are based on points accumulated in agility and jumping classes at Kennel Club licensed Championship and Open Agility Shows. Points are awarded only for clear rounds within the course time, and at least a quarter of the total must be gained in agility classes (as opposed to jumping classes, which omit the see-saw, dog walk and 'A' frame obstacles).
The Agility Warrant awards are available at three levels: Bronze, Silver, and the coveted Gold. To qualify for her Gold award, Pickle needed to amass 800 points. A first-placed clear round attracts 20 points, with lower points for clear rounds below first place and jumping rounds, so Pickle has had to perform consistently well for her award.

Pickle currently competes at Grade 5 in Agility. She started competing at 21 months old and achieved enough points for the Gold Warrant at the age of 4. During her career she has had 67 top ten places, 35 other places and 144 clear rounds.
