1st Delaney's Rollo De Maeluma at Arranbrae - not quite 15 months old masculine youngster presenting an ideal outline. Correct head with strong muzzle. Eye colour matching his coat. He's still developing and maturing, but his quality and potential are obvious. Well laid back shoulder, strong level topline. Correct depth and shape of rib. Correct rear angulation that matches his well angulated front. His movement was a joy to watch, he's so settled and easy, showing off long strides and strong topline. Presented to perfection and very much in tune with his handler. RBD
2nd Kuz's Farmarens Peter Pan at Strufingill - 14 months youngster of correct proportions, size and substance. Loved his masculine head and strong muzzle. At the moment his eye could be a touch darker to match his coat. I would like a little more depth of chest. Balanced angulations front and rear and presents a strong level topline both standing and on the move. Not quite the angulation of 1, which showed in a slightly shorter stride on the move. Still very much a youngster, he needs a little more time to develop and reach his full potential.
Yearling Dog (3, 0)
1st Delaney's Rollo De Maeluma at Arranbrae
2nd Long's Talraz Signs of Spring at Bearbria - 19 months youngster of correct proportions. Strong masculine head with dark eye. Could have a bit more layback of shoulder, good return of upper arm. Correct depth of chest and shape of rib. Strong level topline and good substance. Correct rear angulation. He's not the most patient boy in the ring, but he settled down on the move and showed off a balanced and easy gait with a good length of stride.

Graduate Dog (3, 0)
1st Delaney's Rollo De Maeluma at Arranbrae
2nd Ryan's Gallus Midas Touch into Razkal JW - Masculine 2 year old on the cusp of maturity. Correct length to height proportions and of good size and substance. Correct head with eye colour matching his well-textured coat. Excellent depth and shape of rib. Well angulated front and rear; to be critical he could have a touch more layback of shoulder and he is just a tad square in his croup. He moved out well showing a good length of stride and strong topline, but he was unlucky to meet 1 in top form today.
3rd Long's Talraz Signs of Spring at Bearbria

Limit Dog (1, 0)
1st Butcher's Sylvabrae Newtons Law - 4 year old presented in peak condition. Masculine and well-proportioned dog of good size and substance. I would like him a little stronger in head and I would prefer his skull a little flatter and squarer. Correct eye matching his coat colour. Correct layback of shoulder. Good chest and correct depth and shape of rib. Rear angulation matches front. He is a very happy character who didn't really settle on the move today. He insisted on keeping his nose close to the ground and his tail up, which restricted his length of stride on the move today.
Open Dog (1, 1)
Scottish Bred Dog (1, 0)
1st Delaney's UK/Sp CH. Arranbrae Muy Guapo JW - 10½yo shown in superb condition. Well proportioned masculine dog of good size and substance. You really wouldn't guess his age is in double digits from looking at him, even his teeth appear those of a much younger dog, clean with hardly any signs of wear. Correct head with bright and enquiring expression. Well constructed throughout with good depth, shape and length of rib. Moved out well. A credit to his owner.
Veteran Dog (3, 0)
1st Peart’s CH. Kilfinan Mister Moonlight for Talluarchy - So much to love about this quality masculine dog who is just starting his veteran career. Masculine head with the skull and muzzle our breed standard calls for. To be critical his eye could be just a shade darker to better match his harsh figure hugging coat. Good pigment. Correct angulations fore and aft, ideal depth of chest and correct shape and length of rib. He moves as his construction suggests, with an easy ground covering stride that is a joy to watch. He is all moderation, zero exaggeration presenting an ideal working dog. A true gentleman, he decided not to offer much competition in the Best in Show challenge today, letting the girls outmove him to the top honours. BD, BOS.
2nd Savage & McLean’s Talraz Comic Relief at Canaich JW - 9 yo presenting a lovely outline. Correct length to height proportions, correct head with such a melting expression from the darkest of eyes. Good coat of correct length and texture. Could have a bit more layback of shoulder, correct body and substance. Overall a very balanced dog which shows in his easy reachy movement, he was just very unlucky to come up against 1.
3rd Kuz’s Duncannas Special Edition at Strufingill JW - 8yo masculine dog of good size and substance. Strong head with a good expression from eyes that match his coat colour. Balanced angulation front & rear. Correct depth and shape of rib. Not quite the layback of shoulder of 1 & 2 resulting in a slightly shorter stride on the move. Balanced mover keeping his level topline.
Special Vintage Dog/Bitch (2, 0)
1st Robertson’s Arranbrae Laird of Quothquan JW - 10½yo presented in lean and well-muscled condition. Correct length to height proportions. Good head & eye. Strong level topline. Well laid-back shoulder. Correct shape, depth and length of rib. Rear angulation matching his front. In excellent overall condition with a well textured and maintained coat that finished the picture. Moved out well and with purpose, showing good reach and drive.

1st Gill & Hosie's Calkylona Midnite Melody for Gillaber - perfectly proportioned feminine girl with a lovely head and expression. Broad, flat skull and correct muzzle. Well angulated front and rear, good depth of chest and well shaped rib. So well constructed throughout and her lovely animated personality adds an extra sparkle to her ring presence. Excelled on the move showing correct reach and drive and keeping a strong level topline.2nd Duncan's Frida de Maeluma at Duncannas (IMP SP) - Well proportioned girl of good size and substance. Good head and eye. Excellent angulation front and rear and excellent fore chest, depth of chest and shape of rib. Really well put together but had trouble settling on the move, making her handler work hard to get the best out of her. Much more settled in subsequent classes where she really showed what she can do. Overall a quality girl with lots of potential.
3rd Peart's Malandex Xquisit's Legacy for Talluarchy - Another well proportioned girl of good substance. Loved her strong head with broad, flat skull. Kind expression from eyes matching coat colour. Well angulated fore and aft. Correct depth and shape of rib. Couldn't quite match the reach and drive of 1 & 2, but completed a trio of quality girls.
Yearling Bitch (3, 0)
1st Duncan's Frida de Maeluma at Duncannas (Imp Esp)2nd Peart's Malandex Xquisit's Legacy for Talluarchy
3rd Aitken's Irisaddition It's Show Time at Drumjareen - almost 18 months old youngster of good size and substance who is currently in the process of growing a harsh textured, quality jacket. Correct head and expression. I would prefer slightly more angulation in front and behind. Strong level topline. Moved with a balanced stride that lacked the extension of 1 & 2.

1st Duncan's Frida de Maeluma at Duncannas (IMP SP)2nd Peart's Malandex Xquisit's Legacy for Talluarchy
3rd Hume's Beabeardies Mustang Sally - Well proportioned feminine bitch with a pleasing outline. Well textured coat of ideal length. Correct head with kind expression. Good forechest and correct depth and shape of rib. Well angulated front and rear. Strong level topline which she kept on the move. Moved out well but couldn't quite match the length of stride of 1 & 2.
Post Graduate Bitch (4, 0)
1st Glasgow's Gallus Hopes and Dreams JW - This 2 year old feminine girl of good size and substance really caught my eye. Beautifully proportioned with a harsh coat of an ideal length to create that typical beardie outline. Well proportioned head with good muzzle and eyes matching her coat colour perfectly. Correct strong level topline. Excellent front angulation matching her rear. Good forechest and correct depth, length and shape of rib. She is so balanced both standing and on the move, showing that easy reach and drive without any exaggeration. I felt for sure she was going to push hard for top honours, but sadly she refused to show that stunning movement in the challenge with a different handler.
2nd Gamble’s Capelaw Celeste - A mature feminine girl of correct size and substance. Today her coat had a little too much length so her well proportioned body was obscured from view a little. She has a well proportioned feminine head with a lovely dark eye. Well angulated front and rear and good depth and shape of rib. Strong topline. She is just a little unsettled both standing and on the move. When going well she shows off lovely reachy movement. A quality girl who could have a little more confidence.
3rd Strain's Bryonyhill Sunshine - Well proportioned girl of good size and substance. Correct head with correct eye and pigment. Presents a correct outline with a really harsh quality coat of correct length. Strong level topline. I would prefer a bit more forechest and slightly more layback of shoulder. She showed balanced movement, correct in profile and coming and going, but she did not have the extension of 1 & 2 on the move.
Limit Bitch (4, 0)
1st Harcourt-Brown’s Orora’s Pearly Princess - This feminine girl is like she was made to illustrate the breed standard. Everything from her correct head proportions with her bright and enquiring expression to her well angulated and muscled rear with low hocks is just so correct. She has an ideal layback of shoulder and well shaped ribs of correct depth, short loin and a strong level topline. But what sets her apart the most and made her my clear winner today is her movement. She was completely settled and just floated around the ring, no wasted effort, no exaggeration, just perfect long reaching strides and a topline that stayed completely level and still throughout. This is a girl who could run all day, and I would happily watch. BB & BIS
2nd Glasgow's Viva the Diva de Chester at Gallus (IMP FRA) JW - Slightly stronger made than 1. Well proportioned girl. Strong head with kind expression, eye colour matching coat. Well angulated front and rear. Excellent forechest. Good depth and shape of rib. Good quality coat of correct length. With her at times slightly bouncy movement, she was not as economical on the move as 1.
3rd Kuz’s Kiltondale Memphis Belle at Strufingill - Mature girl of lovely type, presenting a pleasing outline and correct length to height proportions. Good head and expression with lovely dark eye matching her dark coat. She doesn't quite have the angulation of 1 & 2 so she couldn't match their length of stride. She is a balanced and easy mover from all angles.
Open Bitch (2, 1)
1st Robertson’s Heathermist Miss Tillietudlem at Quothquan (Imp SWE) - 6yo slightly taller but feminine girl of correct length to height proportions. Eye and pigment matching coat colour. I would prefer a little more forechest. Good depth of chest and shape of rib. Strong level topline. Steady mover showing a good length of stride and moving true coming and going.
Scottish Bred Bitch (3, 1wd)
1st Gamble’s Capelaw Celeste2nd Muir’s Douglasdale Dream Island - 9½yo dark brown with the most beautiful dark eyes giving her that true beardie expression. Correct proportions and good substance. Excellent coat of good texture. Correct forechest and depth of chest. She moved out well despite her insistence to drop her head to the ground a lot. While on the move she showed a good level topline but she tended to drop her topline a little while standing. She was at a definite age disadvantage coming up against 1 in this class.
Veteran Bitch (5, 1)
1st Glasgow's Ch. Malandex Xpat's Gem at Gallus JW - Eye-catching girl presenting a beautiful outline. Strong feminine head of correct proportions, eye-colour toning with coat. Correctly angulated front and matching rear with strong hocks. Good forechest and correct depth of chest and shape and length of rib. Strong level topline. Good quality coat to finish the picture. Such an easy effortless mover, moving with purpose and ideal reach and drive. She might be a veteran in age, but she is very much still in her prime. She kept putting her best foot forward outmoving the dog towards best veteran and RBIS.
2nd Gill & Hosie’s CH. Malandex French Xpectation for Gillaber - Feminine well proportioned girl with the prettiest head and expression. Broad flat skull and gorgeous eyes. When she turns that gaze on you you can't deny her a thing. She is well angulated fore and aft and has a good depth and shape of rib. Excellent topline both standing and on the move. She is currently carrying a bit more coat than I would prefer. She's all about the food, showing herself beautifully free standing, on the move this focus on her treats didn't always serve her as well, but she did manage to show her balanced movement with good reach and drive in parts. Just loved her character.
3rd Goodbrand's Braesnobel Let Freedom Ring - Another good looking veteran who doesn't show her age. Well proportioned girl showing a lovely outline. Feminine, well proportioned head with a slightly high set ear. Her eye could be a shade darker to better match her shiny black coat. I would prefer a little more layback of shoulder. She has a superb topline both standing and moving. Compared to her competition she was not as effortless and reachy on the move. Completely in sync with her handler.
