Bearded Collie Annual Health Survey 2019 - Results
Did you take part in the JBLC's yearly health survey which ran between 1st February 2019 and 28th February 2019? The results of the survey are now available via our JBLC Breed Health Surveys section.
The results for the 2018 survey are still available via the same link. Regarding the 2018 survey, Liz Ayrton, our Breed Health Co-ordinator who produced the survey and analysed the data, said:
"A big thank you to everyone who filled in the Breed Health Survey in February 2018 - it was a fabulous response and gave us plenty of data with a total of 1,132 dogs entered. Overall the picture is an encouraging one with many Bearded Collies living on into old age with minimal problems but it also gives us data on areas where we do have problems. Encouraging yearly participation will enable us to monitor these problems and act accordingly and also focus in which areas we use any resources available to us."
The survey forms part of the JBLC Breed Strategy, which aims to get everyone to work together to safeguard the future of our breed.
